Dr. Brita Mittal, MD, FASA, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. She received a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology prior to obtaining her M.D. at the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed her anesthesiology residency and fellowship in Head and Neck Anesthesia and Advanced Airway Management at Stanford University. In addition to serving as a faculty member at Stanford, Dr. Mittal was also previously an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.
Dr. Mittal's academic interests include anesthesia for head and neck surgery, difficult airway management, resident education, advanced oxygenation techniques, anesthesia for patients with epidermolysis bullosa, and space medicine.
