Tricuspid regurgitation (TR), also known as tricuspid insufficiency, is a condition in which a portion of the right ventricular stroke volume flows retrograde through the tricuspid valve back into the right atrium during systole.
The tricuspid regurgitation jet visualized on echocardiography can be used to estimate the right ventricular systolic pressure (RVSP).
