Function of magnet on cardiac devices
ICD
Magnet will turn off anti-tachycardic therapy (i.e. no shock)
Pacemaker
Magnet will convert to asynchronous mode
Combined Pacemaker/ICD
Magnet will turn off anti-tachycardic therapy on ICD but will not affect pacemaker
