| * Use the “An Review” tab in Epic (at the top) to check patient’s surgery posting (duration, postop location ie ICU vs floor)

| * One of the most important things is to go through patient’s meds and list which they need to take vs hold before surgery (roadmap has guidance for each class of medication)

| * There is a “CPO Resident Orientation” packet with instructions on workflow, how to document, who to contact for different things. TLDR below:

| ** Anticoagulation questions: can reach out to Stephanie Robertson, PharmD via staff message using the dotphrase .CPOREFERRAL

| ** Pacemaker/ICD that needs to be interrogated (typically the case if it hasn’t been interrogated in the last 6 months): email [[Mailto:device-service@jhmi.edu|device-service@jhmi.edu]] with the following info: pt name/MRN, DOS/time/OR venue, manufacturer of device, surgeon’s name and contact info, device indication (if known), and any additional details if relevant

| ** Edmonton Frailty Questionnaire: MA fills out this form with patients and if they score higher than 6, you just message Pod A CPO to FYI them of this
