SINGLE SHOT NERVE BLOCKS

  1. Ultrasound
  2. Ultrasound probe cover
  3. Gloves
  4. Local of choice
  5. Adjuvants (Decadron 4 mg vs Clonidine 1mcg/kg vs Dexmedetomidine1 mcg/kg vs Epi 1;200,000 dilution vs 0.3 mg Buprenorphine)
  6. Needle 5 cm or 10 cm , (Pajunk brand narrow small sleeve packet)
  7. Chloroprep

  1. Ultrasound
  2. Ultrasound probe cover
  3. Gloves
  4. Local anesthetic of choice
  5. Needle 5 cm or 10 cm , either Pajunk or Braun. If using Pajunk please bring Braun catheters
  6. Chloroprep stick
  7. Sterile Towels
  8. Continuous Nerve Block kit

Lido plain 5 1% or 10mg/ml 1/2 Body Wt 1% Lido for 70kg = 350mg

350mg/(10mg/ml) = 35ml

Bupi plain 2.5 0.5% or 5mg/ml 1/2 Body wt 0.5% Bupi for 70kg = 175mg

175mg/(5mg/ml) = 35ml

Bupi plain 2.5 0.25% or 2.5mg/ml Body wt 0.25% Bupi for 70kg = 175mg
